Start Certification — $58 →Nevada is one of about half the states that operates its own OSHA-approved workplace safety program instead of relying solely on federal OSHA. The Nevada State Plan is administered by Nevada OSHA, part of the Division of Industrial Relations (DIR) within the Department of Business & Industry, and it covers private-sector employers as well as state and local government workplaces. Nevada OSHA adopts and enforces the federal powered industrial truck standard, 29 CFR 1910.178, so the training rules for forklift operators in Las Vegas, Reno, or anywhere in the state mirror the federal baseline.
Under 29 CFR 1910.178(l), an operator cannot run a powered industrial truck until the employer confirms they are trained and competent. Certification is built on three parts:
The employer must keep a written record showing the operator’s name, the trainer/evaluator’s name, and the dates of training and the most recent evaluation. That record is what an inspector asks to see.
Forklift certification does not last forever. Nevada OSHA requires the employer to re-evaluate each operator’s performance at least once every three years. Refresher training must also happen sooner whenever an operator is involved in an accident or near-miss, is seen operating unsafely, is assigned a different type of truck, or when conditions in the workplace change.
Our $58 online course delivers the formal instruction portion of the requirement. It runs about an hour, works on any phone, tablet, or computer, and issues a certificate valid for three years across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Because 29 CFR 1910.178 also requires hands-on practical training and an on-site evaluation, the employer completes those final steps at the worksite — our employer “Train-and-Certify” kit provides the evaluation checklist and documentation to close the loop.

Whether your crews work in Las Vegas, Henderson, or Reno, this course gets the classroom requirement done fast and on the record.
